" Carefully strapping the weapon back to his side, all Arton could think was that he would climb the hill to becoming the best on his own. There were swords out there better than his own blade, certainly, which would have to be found and acquired. And just like those swords, he'd acquire the skill to become the best swordsman in all of Fiore.[/ul]

The morning sky felt crisp in the air as a young woman walked barefoot in the grass, she seemed to be lost, her eyes not glaring at anything specific and a almost zombie like look to her, however she simply was bored, walking got tiring after a while and she hadn't found anything to distract herself besides that fairy ring of mushrooms, she enjoyed looking at the patterns on them. Felt almost like she was home? What a odd thought. Regardless the blonde haired woman continued until she found herself surrounded by gravestones. Where was she? She looked at the fairly crude map she owned, she guessed she had been walking north based on her intuition however she wasn't sure. She could barely read a book let alone a map, however she felt confident she was going towards her destination.
Which was- Well... She wasn't really sure. She just picked a direction that would lead towards Technicolor Village, The place of her birth, She thinks. Even with some of the memories back she felt a sort of distance to them, like she was in another girl's body altogether. Maybe she was really a demon who had taken over a human? That possibility seemed frightening possible, she had so many nightmares she wasn't sure if she was even more alive than the ones resting under her feet. Her blue eyes looked up at the sky, hoping to see any kind of sign. Maybe she could find someone to help her with directions? She sighed, interacting with people was always such a chore that often descended into a sad game of charades, she was a bit smarter now with granny's teachings but still.
She straightened her long white dress, barely going past her knees it looked more like an overgrown shirt, and it honestly might have been, her sword belted at her waist, a decent sized katanta, with a heart shaped emblem on the hilt and a tiny bear toy, it was one of the few things the girl had purchased with the small sum of jewels that grams had left her. Eventually she noticed what seemed to be a man, he had black hair that seemed as if he never combed it, and otherwise dressed pretty normally for someone whom would carry a sword, Ava was probably the exception to that rule. She waved at the man to try and get his attention and hoped that he could help her with little to no troubles.

" Even before she'd have an answer in mind, the eager swordsman had a smirk on his face. Magic power fluctuated before giving the look of panels appearing over his arms. " Partial Takeover!" The command was enough to fit with his mental queue, the man's arms, shoulders, and head vanishing within a flickering storm of magic transformation panels. The armor seemed to shake lightly as it was adjusted, but in a moment the panels had vanished to reveal a different look to the ragged warrior. Even his honor for the dead had been brushed aside at the prospect to obtain yet another soul for his Dead Soul magic's collection! The pauldrons, gauntlets, arm guards, and even the helmet of a samurai now accented his looks, their form practically colorless and flaking "fragments" as if they were decaying indefinitely without any loss of mass. Sliding his foot back, the new helm making the mage appear far less like some wizard and more so like some honorable ancient soldier, Arton took the hilt of his sword in hand. If this was a spirit... then he was prepared for battle![/ul] Spell Name: Dead Soul: Fallen Samurai Level: D Range: Personal Description: This form changes the arms of and head of Arton, giving him the decaying pauldrons, arm guards, gauntlets, and helmet of a deceased samurai. Using this form amplifies his physical strength and durability, allowing him to block weaponry on his level of magical power. Drawback: Without using the form's abilities, it still requires a drain on Magical Power to maintain the form, akin to manifesting magic weaponry.

Ava was glad that the man had seen her at least, that feeling was however short lived as he started speaking too fast for her to keep up and suddenly got ready to attack her! She understood some of it, she knew he was using some kind of takeover magic or so she assumed, and she definitely heard him say battle. It seemed that the young woman had made a grave mistake. The man must be some sort of robber or criminal. She sighed as she felt her arm twitch, it wanted out? Could it feel the man's sense of combativeness? She tried to decide on the best course of action, however before she could realize it she had already activated her powers and her arm had shifted into that of a demon. Her arm was a mixture of white and blue, a large claw on the end.
She slowly grabbed her sword with her normal arm and pulled it out, she took a deep breath as she hesitated, she had gotten into plenty of fights before or she thought, but she was somehow scared? Is this the feeling of knowing death could soon be upon her? She looked at him, before she started at him, she quickly moved her blade to cross with his and at that moment used her demonic arm to wrap his leg with a energy whip and take him down. She hoped that this fight could be ended with little bloodshed on either account if she managed to disarm the man.
She however felt a blood-lust that scared her, she felt that the demons within where trying to rip her soul apart. She wondered for a second if she even had a soul at this point.

The mental command focused the dark, grey energy of the ghostly spirit straight to Arton's katana-like weapon as he swung horizontally from above, the magic-coating of the spell "colliding" and parrying the whip. The tug of the magic was made evident, however, as it failed to cut through the whip and only divert its course into the nearby ground. There was not going to be any sort of takedown in this Take Over battle, at least not with such a petty attempt to strike out of his range. Arton brought his stance backward before slightly rolling and swinging his arm in an attempt to disarm the girl. Woman or not, she clearly had some devious tricks up close that might prevent a direct attack like a headbutt or punch. Even with the enhanced strength from his Take Over working on his arms, the armor couldn't endure direct blows from a sword or magic weaponry beyond a strike or two. " Your form is sloppy! Surely you can do better than this! Without the initiative of a first strike, you'd be dead right now! Don't think I'm just some chump with a blade!" Right arm shifting as it finished coming back, the blade's magical coating fading from the one-hit use, Arton would bring his arm back and over in downward swing of the sword toward the demonic arm, clipping the top of a grave with the first part of the motion to shower the area with more debris. The graveyard's few onlookers were no doubt going to be terrified or upset by the fight, but at least their battle was in a more ancestral section, the fallen under and around them having been gone far long enough to be forgotten by visual memories. They were remembered in words... like Arton's ancestors and he himself one day he would obtain from moments such as this![/ul] Spell Name: Samurai's Edge Level: D Range: Weapon Length (Swords only) Description: Coating his sword in ghostly energy, Arton swings the weapon at a target with the edge of a sword and the protection of a magical aura, allowing it to hit as both a physical and magical weapon momentarily. Drawback: Requires magic power and only works with one collision before fading/dissipating.

Ava jumped back, landing on her hands and doing a tumble to her feet, she sighed. She started to realize that this man wasn't evil, just an idiot. She looked at her arm, it didn't come away perfect, the man's blade having cut it, but she didn't think it was deep enough to be a problem. She walked over to a gravestone and sat down it it. She sat her sword into the earth and pulled out a piece of paper. It was the map she had been looking at earlier. She made very obvious gestures and pointed at it. Her arm had went back to being normal. She had no real interest in a fight with someone just for fun. If he wasn't going to murder or rob her there was really no value to it. She pointed at her mouth and shook her head, usually the best way she had found to communicate her lack of communication.
She pulled out a half eaten apple and bit into it, she was running low on rations as well, she thought to herself. She brushed the hair from her eyes before she looked up to the man hoping he wouldn't attack a defenseless girl, of course if he came at her, she was holding something in her bag that would surprise him. She yawned and looked at the position of the sun. She felt her arm twitch a bit, it seemed upset that she had declined a battle. She didn't care, it was always acting like a spoiled little brat. Then again, that's demons for you. She swallowed a piece of the apple as she waited to see the outcome.
